Terms and Conditions

The website/app should only be used on a device that uses an operating system which is approved by your phone’s manufacturer. You should also ensure that if you are not the owner of the device you intend to use this website/app on, you have obtained permission from the owner of the phone. If you use the website/app, we shall assume you have the appropriate permission.

We will treat your personal information and data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation, the Data Protection Act 2018 and other applicable data protection laws.

Paddle is hosted by Brighter Futures Together CIC, who act as the ‘data controller’. As such, Brighter Futures Together CIC determines how and why your data is processed.

Paddle does not send any information to your therapist or other healthcare professionals, with the exception of completed questionnaires which, when completed on your Paddle app, will be sent to the NHS Talking Therapy Service you are receiving treatment from. The information from your questionnaires will also be stored on your Paddle app. PLEASE note that NHS Talking Therapy Services are not an emergency response service and will not be monitoring your questionnaire scores 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. However, they may get in touch with you after you have finished treatment if your questionnaires raise concerns around risk to yourself (if you are aged under 18, they may also contact your parent or guardian).  

 

If you are feeling very low or suicidal, please do seek support from organisations who are available 24/7. The Samaritans are available for support at any time on 116 123 or you can visit their website (https://www.samaritans.org/).You can call NHS 111 ((the NHS non-emergency number) if you need medical help that is not an emergency or if you want the number for your local NHS 24/7 Mental Health support line. You can call your GP or local out of hours service. Please call 999 if you need immediate assistance in an emergency. You cannot use the app as a means of contacting your local IAPT service.

It is up to you whether or not you use Paddle. You are free to stop using it at any time, either during treatment or after you have been discharged. You are free to delete your account at any time. Your outcome data (the questionnaires and other questions which you complete via the app possible during treatment and after being discharged from treatment) will be held by your local local NHS Talking Therapies Service on their secure data management system.

You agree that Paddle is for domestic and private use only and you will not use the website/app for any commercial, business or resale purposes. You also agree that when using the website/app you will comply with all applicable laws and these terms.

Paddle is provided on an “as is” basis for domestic and private use. Your use of the website/app is at your own risk. Your statutory rights are not affected.

We reserve the right to update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in the law, or changes to the website/app as a result of new functionality. We also reserve the right to withdraw the website/app at any time and without notice.
